TJC names new registrar

Andrea Liner has been named registrar Wednesday at Tyler Junior College.
Dr. Austin Lane said she will begin her duties December 1.
"Executive Director of Enrollment Management Janna Chancey and her staff did an excellent job of finding a highly qualified applicant who understands the importance of maintaining the security and confidentiality of student records," said Dr. Lane in a prepared statement. "I'm confident that Andi will bring new ideas and best practices that will serve our students well. We are extremely pleased to have her on board as our new registrar."
Liner has served as coordinator of marketing and advising for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Texas at Tyler since 2003.
Liner worked before that at TJC as the academic advisor for the School of Allied Health and Nursing and transcript evaluator.
She is a graduate of Texas A&M University in 1999, Blinn College and Bryan High School. Liner is also currently enrolled in the human resource development Master of Science degree program at UT Tyler.
