College hosts University Interscholastic League competition

More than 1,500 high school students from 66 2A University Interscholastic League schools competed on the TJC Campus April 11-13.

This is the 19th year TJC has hosted the academic, theatrical and athletic events.

Academic events were held in Jenkins Hall, Potter Hall, Genecov Sciences, Pirtle Technology, and Wise Cultural Arts Buildings. One-act play competitions were also held in Wise Auditorium.

Competitions for UIL Region III Golf will be held April 21 & 22 at Oak Hurst & Peach Tree Golf Clubs.

Men's and Women's tennis competitions will be held April 24 & 25 at the Murphy Tennis Center.

TJC will also host the UIL Track & Field competitions at Palestine High School April 25 & 26.
